A pleasant group of 11 racers came to the Point this past Sunday to do battle with the NC-5 powered cars from Ninco.  Many others were probably still suffering their Saturday night NASTE hangover.  And in the first set it was Rico rocking to a near-perfect first set and a total of 51 points.  Monte was just behind with a total of 50 after losing a heat to the previous night's winner Terry.  But in the second set the Big Smooth pulled it together and got a 15 lap heat on White.  It was the first 15 lap heat of the day.  He then ran another 15 lap heat in the yellow lane and I think that is a Sunday first for the NC-5 cars.  A big thanks to Victoria for another excellent pot of soup and of course Dorothy's famous chocolate recipes.  Nothing like a First Sunday.

Monte Saager - 103 pts.
Rico Locati - 101
Terry Abbott - 97
Dorothy Abbott - 90
Greg Petrolati - 90
Tracy Flood - 90
Steven Ennis - 88
Jimmy Jones - 82
Russell Flood - 81
Bryan Dickinson - 77
Victoria Saager - 76

Lifetime points will be updated.  We'll see you in May.

Come join in the fun!

The NASTE CARLO!  Coming to a track near you soon...

More details will be posted as they become available.

I hear that!  Heading outside myself.  Hope we don't end up with three more weeks of winter because of it.

And thanks Hammer!

That's right!  I made a deal.  I traded off half of my SCX Rally Track with my extra Rally Chrono Unit for a great selection of SCX Off Road track and a few off road trucks.

The great thing here is that as you can see from the picture, it includes the set that transits from paved to dirt.  That paved section will also connect up to that other half of the Rally track that I still have.

And as you can see I still have some rally track left.  Should work out to be quite the track.

I expect it will arrive next Tuesday.  Oh, the excitement!

What a great day for a race!  The sun was out and it was warm enough that we enjoyed our day with the garage door wide open.  A total of 21 racers came to play on this beautiful day including a few late arrivals.

Highlight of the day - Rico complaining about his car for three heats only to find out it wasn't his car!  Well some of these cars do appear quite similar.  Here now the results:

I've started building a Pit garage.  Now I'm thinking about the exterior design.  Any thoughts on how the exterior of a pit building should be finished?

So that's what happened.  do you suppose we should put together a rules committee to solve these issues for next season?

Then get it up and running!  ;-)

Those should do the job!

Howdy Andre.

I have to build at least two cars.  One for me and one for Victoria.  Since I've got probably half a dozen or more possibilities I'll need to ask her which one she wants to run but I'll be using either an Avant Slot Pescarolo or the ScaleAuto Toyota.  The AV will probably be the stock motor, it's probably enough for this class.  The ScaleAuto is where the possibilities start to come into play so I am undecided.  I have motors from Slot. It, NSR, Ninco, ScaleAuto, AV, and probably a few others that would work.

I wonder what Rico is building...

Yes, thanks to my team as well.  The finish was a lot closer than it looked like it was going to be for a while.  I need to work on my team selecting I guess.  It seemed like the track fared pretty well for a new layout.  I enjoyed it and it seemed to have a reasonable flow to it.  I'm moving the second crossover curve and also fixing the corner I futzed up.  One more time for the sanding routine.  I've determined there are many things I'd rather do than sand.

And tires...  what the heck was up with that third car.  I thought the tires were ok but clearly not.  I figured it was just crazed drivers but when I got to it, holy moley...

We'll do better next time.

Next up for the digitral track - Ribs'n'Racin' II.

Well, we'll certainly keep running the Ninco's for some times since most people have one already.  Maybe we can figure out how to beat that Rico guy if we do this long enough.

I am thinking of adding a second set however and just running the Ninco's through one time.

How about Vintage F1?  Or vintage Spo's Ca's.

We've made no decision yet.  Got a preference?

No problem, I can loan you one for the time being.

In fact you might ask Randy if he still has his Parma's.

Very nice, that track is coming along nicely.

Drew, bring a Professor Motor Controller if you have one, and I know you do.  ;-)

We want to make sure we have enough to IROC the controllers too.  Thanks!
