Ok, after talking with Chris we're considering this:

1.  A two-hour team IROC using the Can Am cars that we already have from the 24 Hr Enduro.
2.  Heat racing using the First Set cars - the Porsche's mostly.
3.  If there's time, a King of the Track heat race using whatever BRM you want to run.  Let the big dogs eat!

How do the rubber tires grip there?  I know the foam tire on my Scale Auto are great there.

Doc, what would be a good time for you?  Anyone?

It's looking like we have an adequate field for the First Set.  Porsches, mostly...

How about we start with a team race using the cars from the second Set (917/512)?  I bet we can find 4 cars.  Perhaps we just need a suitable IROC set.  We can run a two-hour mini-enduro and folks can just arrive as they can.

Afterwards we'll run the First Set cars head to head, mano-a-mano, etcetera.

Howie has ok'd the date so the 24th of June it is.

I rate these as the most likely classes we could run, I have cars for all three.  What about the rest of us?  Anything other than Porsche's?

First Set:
Porsche 962
Toyota  88C
Sauber C9

Second Set:

Porsche 911 GT1

We need a date to really get things rolling.

How about Saturday, June 24th?

I think we should stick with a single brand to allow those from out of town to more easily match up.

Yes, go visit.  Take pictures!  Make friends.  Tell them about the northwest.

Kick their butts!

Howie has given the OK to schedule a BRM race on his track.  So, what should we do?  There are some possibilities beyond the Porsches.  Would we allow multiple classes so more can play?

Let's talk about it.  With a little advance notice we should be able to get a few of the Tacoman's down as well.

You'd think they would add some protection circuitry to prevent those type of problems.

But always good to do a little straightening up.

Herr Doktor.

In Tacoma they call Tony "Deuce".

I have no idea why.

I like Doc too.

Some nights the magic works.

I really like the Policars.  Looking forward to seeing a few more come out.  Those alone would make for a great class.

Thanks to Al for having us over.  And an extra thanks to those that stayed for the proxy runs.  It amazes me how close the racing is with those cars.  And how many wings go flying.

The rallier would say to his navigator "Get me out of this traffic".

Already looking forward to driving over the West Linn bridge.  Or is it the Oregon City bridge.  I had the worst time with that.  I met a girl from Longview when I was maybe 17 or so.  One night she drove to St. Helens and I asked her which way she came.  She replied "over the Rainier Bridge".  I was stunned, I'd never heard of that bridge.  However I was familiar with the Longview Bridge.

Learned about perspective that night.

A rally man knows the proper technique.  Execute all turns using the handbrake.  If the first pull doesn't get you headed in the right direction, keep pulling until it does.

As the legendary Stig Blomqvist once said in New England at a rally while discussing fog on the course:

"Don't be a vimp, poot your foot down".  And yes, I have the t-shirt.
