I think I have what I need.  I'll have something posted in the next day or so.  Even Monte gets busy now and then.  And that's unusual because Monte don't use no third party.  Typically...

Using real math, I only found about 4 calc errors from what was announced at the race.  Some nights are like that.  When it happened at the rallies folks went nuts.  For days...

Why I remember one time when I was back in Electronics School - yes, honest - and we had a written test EVERY day.  The rule was that if you got a score of less than 75% you had to take your test home and rework the problems.  I had never had to do that until this day...  I missed the cut-off by one error.  Taking my work home I spent the entire evening in total frustration reading and re-reading text to rework this one problem and get the desired answer.  No matter how I tried, it always came out the same.  I got so frustrated I threw a book at Victoria!  I missed.  I was clearly out of control.

The next day I took my test back and confessed that no matter what I tried I could not get the "correct" answer.  I would appreciate the lesson.  So my instructor worked the problem for me and got the very same answer I did, numerous times.  He declared the answer sheet was WRONG!

Once again, Monte will post results soon.  This month.  Probably this week.

Did anyone get any pictures from Saturday?  Hammer?

Might...  Vic and I just got to town, going to have some dinner and stop by Fray-land if time permits.  Otherwise it will be tomorrow.  I know Bill's been at the track for some time now.

Nice Doc, my wife would approve.

Doc, I checked very closely but I couldn't find my name anywhere on that car, just some guy named Turner.

Me, I've been made the distributor.  It's not clear yet if onesy-twosy is ok or it needs to be a bunch.  I'll find out.

Or break the other one.

I suggest we make a list of all the possible classes.  Pick 10 and start a rotation.  Next year we can pick a different 10.  Or something like that.  Maybe only replace half per year so 5 holdovers and 5 new.

Scalextric GT?  Are you kidding me?  Tony is now Mr. Scaley.  We got a source.

A class for yellow cars?  Like making fun of a cripple...

it would not be a bad idea to look at our classes and try to get them organized a little better.  I agree the F1 class is pretty well a monster that needs help.  There are others...

Yes indeed, thanks Terry.  Though I've never been a big proponent of practice it was nice to get a feel for the cars with our controllers.  It should be a fun time regardless of outcome.

Ok, after talking with Chris we're considering this:

1.  A two-hour team IROC using the Can Am cars that we already have from the 24 Hr Enduro.
2.  Heat racing using the First Set cars - the Porsche's mostly.
3.  If there's time, a King of the Track heat race using whatever BRM you want to run.  Let the big dogs eat!

How do the rubber tires grip there?  I know the foam tire on my Scale Auto are great there.

Doc, what would be a good time for you?  Anyone?

It's looking like we have an adequate field for the First Set.  Porsches, mostly...

How about we start with a team race using the cars from the second Set (917/512)?  I bet we can find 4 cars.  Perhaps we just need a suitable IROC set.  We can run a two-hour mini-enduro and folks can just arrive as they can.

Afterwards we'll run the First Set cars head to head, mano-a-mano, etcetera.

Howie has ok'd the date so the 24th of June it is.

I rate these as the most likely classes we could run, I have cars for all three.  What about the rest of us?  Anything other than Porsche's?

First Set:
Porsche 962
Toyota  88C
Sauber C9

Second Set:
Porsche 917
Ferrari 512S

Third Set:
McLaren F1 GTR
Porsche 911 GT1

Whoops, sorry, fixed.
