He was there?

That's what happens when you get to the races late: Bill has come and gone.

After completing the Carrera Scramble proxy last evening we did manage to race a couple of Odd Thursday classes. As always the racing was very close at Autumn Hills, sometimes too close.  We decided to race GT-3 first with me leading the way in what I'm calling the silent destroyer (aka McLaren MP4-12C) with 49.3 laps. Monte was second in a borrowed mostly yellow car with 47.7 laps and Doc pulled out a third place with 45.6 laps.

We decided to race Classic Sportscars for round two.  It was a mix of podded and non-podded cars but since no points were involved we really didn't keep track.  Once again I led the way with 46.4 laps in my Fraser-Nash barely beating Al by .1 in his Greenwood 'Vette. Third was Stan in a borrowed Ferrari GTO with 44.0 laps just edging Doc and Chris who both had 43.9.

GT-3 Results:

1 Rico   49.3
2 Monte   47.7
3 Doc   45.6
4 Chris   44.4
5 Mitch   44.3
6 Al   42.4
7 Stan   41.4

Classic Sportscar Results:

1 Rico   46.4
2 Al   46.3
3 Stan   44.0
4 Chris   43.9
   Doc   43.9
6 Mitch   42.4
7 Dom   32.5

I would also like to thank everyone who came out to help with the proxy, your contributions are invaluable.

Rico

Nice work Monte, I bet it was pretty hard to put those decals on a white body.  JUST kidding.  Is it fast?

Thanks Al for a night of good close racing.  The results were very close with some great on track battles.  I took a couple of short videos of the GT-3 race. They can be viewed here:

on these pen days

Jeez, you make it sound like a prison sentence.  My dad is from Walla Walla and you didn't go anywhere near the pen, as in State Penitentiary.

Thanks Monte and Victoria for a fun afternoon of racing.  I went on a quest when I got home to find my missing TicTac Porsche and lo and behold I found it.  I have a table next to my work bench that I sometimes put cars on and apparently it had fallen off and behind the table, through my bubble wrap for shipping, past two boxes of die-cast cars and made it's way clear to the floor where it was resting peacefully.  I am glad that it is not missing and lost.

You'd better hope you got the weight bias right as that looks rather permanent.

It looks just like the paint on your Bentley.

Nice race there Mr. Smooth, that one heat was epic. Hopefully I'll get you next time.  Thanks Bill for a thrilling night of racing and to all for the camaraderie.

That's where I'm headed.

Sorry to have missed but we had to take Gabby back to school in Eugene. Hopefully I can make it next time.

GT3...   But don't let me lack of a car slow you down.

You're sounding quite Irish today, laddy.

I have a GT3 on order but it most like will arrive too late.  I do have an old Scaley Aston Martin DBR9 but the rear axle has been upgraded with Slot.it parts as the original wheels gave up the ghost long ago.

Uh Chris, do you mean MARCH 30?  See post #14.  April 30 is a Sunday.

The last race on the TooBad track depends on a couple things. 1. If it sells soon. 2. If our house sells before the track does. 3. If it doesn't sell. 4. If our house doesn't sell. 5. If we find a place and I move the track with me.............well, you get the picture............

Things are shall we say...fluid.

Well, I can certainly try to make it but as is normal these days there are no guarantees.

Great news! Nice work gentlemen.

How soon are we going to start racing this class? I know more than a few of us still need to purchase cars cars and get them set up.
