Zack,
I'm a possible maybe but I'll probably be driving myself in case I have to cover some kind of work emergency, or a Mom emergency of some kind.

This track is a routed three lane road course with copper tape. Lap length is a bit over 69'. The timing system at present is Track Mate with a dead strip.

Cool photos Bill, I rarely recognized Gearloose, I've never met the others.

I already pre ordered a red one from Electric Dreams a few months ago. Still Waiting, but they're being delivered in the UK so we should be soon.

They had some 10 second 140MPH bugs.
Not bad for a flat four.

It's the VW weekend down at Woodburn Dragstrip today.
I had a '63 that I raced to death, I still haven't got it out of my system.
I think I'll go down and get a fix.

equilibrate? Did you make that up?

You guys pick them, I can probably come up with something.

Big thanks to both Bob and Bill for hosting great open house events. Both of these tracks look great and we can hardly wait to attend events on both of them.
As I see guys selling off their cars as tracks in their areas have closed we are truly lucky to have a wide range of tracks built to different styles and taste. And even spread out across the metro area.
It was also great to see Glen Heath again and get to meet some of Goose Gosset's family.

That one did NOT rust.

When I built the new track I moved the Strombecker pieces out back under the upper deck for cleaning then had the stroke and they sat out all winter rusting. I still feel bad about that.

Good Job Rico, I finally acquired one of those but haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet.
Now that I'm feeling better my time is consumed doing all of the non slot car things that didn't get done post stroke.
As for my old yellow slot it gt40, I've had a dozen different motors in it and ran it in every class I could make it legal for. I'm pretty familiar with what it can do in every configuration.
Now I've turned my attention to some of the other cars and questions, like why doesn't the Ninco Healy and Cobra run as well as the '56 vette? How can a front motored car run as well as a mid motored car? It's been done by others. Why is my Racer P68 so noisy?

Had to work swing shift this week.

I thought I left the Camel downstairs

Besides the 1/32 scale cars that I now refuse to count I almost have cars for Howies covered. Now to build cars for Bill's track unless the Howie cars can pull double duty.

I even kept all of the HO cars just in case someone ever wanted run those as a class.

What's one more car? you guys pick what you want to race and I'll cobble something together.

Most of my cars are quick enough for the classes they run in but I'm losing ground in the corners, so I've been reading through volumes of post and trying suggestions for making them smoother that I've found. I've been able to shave some 10ths off of some cars on my track but I don't know how it will work out on race nights.

I do however have a Ninco XK120 turning faster laps than a slot it GT40 set up with the same specs.  So that's something at least.

Maybe a fair bit Doc.

Zack,
You've about caught me but it's a long haul up to the podium from here.

5's huh? If I tried hard I might be able to build a car that fast, but I could never drive it that fast.

Fantastic work guys on both the building and the driving.

I'll try to be there. Planning on going to Howie's today if I get my Nascar back together.

I bet they taste like chicken.

Bill,
I've ordered some Scale Auto foamies in a couple of different compounds. When they get here we might need to do some testing to see which works best.
