With some body's getting hard to find with being no longer made and with 3d printers getting cheaper by the day these might be an option we all should start to think about..

Those  factory tires are pretty  hard to start with and will work great if that's what all the cars are also running on. BUT if you show up at a club race thinking that will hook up your going for a big let down slipping and sliding. Around the track. Urethane  work great but if your running against nsr shoed cars it not going to be much of a fight  for long.. the aftermarket  rubber tires are a good deal in the long run. You get two sets vs one pair with Urethane. There bis lots of little tuning tricks to be done even on  home based  slot cars that will make them run great and don't cause you a bunch of cash to do.. just have true wheels and tires does wonders for a car.  Hopefully  some race night  you can make it out and get your feet wet. I wouldn't  worry about  setting up anything for club racing  till you get a few races under your belt. We all ways  have a loaner or two that new comers can run.

with the 1/32 cars 80% of the car set up going to be in the tires and wheels, with the rest going into the chassis set up and body float.. read the rules in what class car you end up building for. some are rather tight with what you can do and others are more wide open. if the class allows rubber tires then that what you will want to run. nsr super grips are king. a good tire Turer is a must have.. keep a look out on ebay and the forums for a used one, they do come up  every so often. if not they can be found on some of the  online stores. home racing world is great source of knowledge , just a fy setting up your car to run good on a plastic track and then taking it to a routed wood track does not work out that great. you can get them in the ball park but the real tuning going be at the club track...

looking good there, glue time..

yes, it was good night of racing. learned not to count my chickens before they hatch. i jinx myself saying no mistakes in the last heat and go and hook up my controller wrong.  only good thing about that Jeff was gone and could give me a razing over it,

RED ALERT incoming race report.........
we had six racers make the show, up 1st was gt3. Ricco had a brain fart and did not bring the correct car for the 1st class, so AL loaned his rocket ship to him. these would not be the only brain fart of the night, more on that later in the report. back to the racing. there was some really close racing with these gt3 cars doc and al batted side by side for nearly 3min straight neither able to pull any racing room on the other, the pressure was on and finally Al cracked trying to get that little extra in the hair bend and we touched, how I did come out was per luck. that little off allowed me to pull away and take the win by half a lap over Al with Rico taking third in the rental followed by Jeff Mitch and David
up next was the money race  Le mans and once again the racing was close, and I was able to battle my way for the win with Al again coming in second and Ricco third.
up next was open and we were down to only 4 racers. Through the 1st two heats I was on a record seating run only to see it all go up in smoke when i got too cocky and hooked up my controller wrong and smoked the brake pot. Al ended up taking the win with Ricco in second and Mitch in third and me rounding out the field, thanks all once again Al see some of you all Monday at Bills the rest of you in two weeks.

Well race day is here let's see who brought  there A game with them can Al get some those points back he lost last round. A few short  hours and all will be revealed.....

Just trying to stream line the class rules.  Just thought it be easier to split the podded cars off from the non prodded  cars. But we can continue  with what we are doing. The racers will end up running what is faster and the guys in it for the looks of the older cars will run what they want. Since we don't run these class as a points race. I guess Leave it alone..

No just redoing the one we have a spitting it up like we did gt class. so like cars are racing like cars. we already seen how the nsr compare to Policar's..  I would love to see those older car race but lets face it that is not going to happen if they have to run with podded cars.  . . taking all of these ..

and the rest
class 1 f1 cars that ran from 1980 down. that would be the Policar classics
class 2 would be 1980 to 1997 and world be the nsr and scalauto cars for example
class 3 would be from 1998 to current and would be all the modern style f1 cars such as the POLICAR F1 MONOPOSTO and other brands

that might work but i was thinking that most of the racers are going to run the podded cars over the non-podded anyways so that why I posted what I did. I think those cars all became shelf queens once everybody saw how the podded cars ran. the ,5 could just group all the non-podded together and keep it simple. i  don't see many guys running those anymore. I for one have retired all of mine.

more rule talk/class talk
f1 is a mess
I think we need to make some adjustment with all these new cars that have come out in the last few years
we should break them down by decade

well how did the racing go on Monday down south???

ouch, I knew Al struggled with his car but didn't think it finished that far down. man, good thing we get to drop one race.

Yea we miss seeing you also. Hope to see out racing with us all soon

NEWS FLASH just hot off the wire. the racing tonight was just epic, the big v8 did not disappoint. up first was trans am and Zack made it out tonight and showed that he still the guy to beat if you want to win, when it all came down to the end Zack and Doc were tied for the win with the tie breaker going with fast lap going to Doc, talk about close.
up next was the money race with the might earth shacking can am cars and Zack was out to take no prisoners and was able to take the win by single tenth over Doc. the Big looser was Al finishing down the order to take a big hit in the points.  with us just pass the halfway point in the season there still plenty time to get those points back.
Up next was open and Doc came back from his heart break loss in Can am to take the win going away. another great night of racing, thanks Al once again. for hoisting.
