Rob does some very nice work. I was never or still a very good modeler, but as a kid everything I built was with the intention of blowing up or sinking beneath the waves of Hartung Pond. There's gotta be a lot of boats full of gravel ballast in that pond. Made me a crack shot though.

As soon as Al sets a date to continue the schedule, perhaps I'll schedule a "tune up" day the weekend before to work the flat spots out of the tires, and maybe exercise those trigger fingers.  LOL.

It looks like this proxy will be coming to Portland Octoberish, so we have that to look forward to.

This has always been considered the "fastest Proxy around". Last year these cars were a blast to race.

This year's Ford V Ferrari cars actually ran faster with the new smooth texture on the track.

It will be interesting to see how these cars run this year.

In April I plan to start some sort of return to regular racing here in Tigard, Something along the lines of Monte's first Sunday or an odd Thursday format, at least until the other tracks feel comfortable with resuming the old schedule.

Perhaps we can start with just some open track days with some "run what you brung" racing.

I have a couple of my WOMP chassis set up like that, they do run great.

Going thru some old files, just look at all those people standing next to each other having a good time.

Bit of snow, bit of ice here in Tigard. Spent most of the time playing in the basement. not much else to do anywhere, warmer weather is on the way though. I'll probably charge the Harley battery this week.  My phone says 58 degrees on Monday.

Two of our grand daughters were over recently racing and trash talking with each other. And like kids they swapped cars often.

When I asked Rose who was three, almost four what she kind of car she wanted to drive next she said "a pink one".

Well I didn't have a pink car but I did have a Ninco Mercedes with a broken wing.

So the next day after installing a suitable motor for an almost four year old into the paint booth it went.

I was able to find what to my eyes seemed like a little girl pink. she was thrilled.

Is this a Pass/Fail?

Or is it going to be graded on a curve?

Yes Stan there are sooooo many things that can go wrong to slow up a project. I've been in that business since 1976.

Looks great Bill. Looking forward to racing again.

I have a similar body but it's too narrow for our standard chassis. I was thinking f building something for it.

This 1/24 scale Triumph TR3 has been hiding in the back of a drawer for years.

Way back when I was drag racing with Bob and the guys in Vancouver we had an "import" class. I built this and a Toyota Cressida for that class.  At some point after I had my own track I put the body on an old AMT chassis with some odd looking insert wheels.

I looked unsuccessfully for a long time for 5/40 threaded wire wheels. I've tried various inserts but didn't like any of them. A few days ago in another drawer I found four Dynamic "sport" wheels that looked kind of like wire wheels but they didn't fit well under the body. I ended up just painting what I had and adding the spinners.

While it is no speed demon with its 36D motor it is very quiet, smooth and fun to drive.

Now to work on an interior.

Thanks Chris but when they got scarce I filled my 20K needs with the NSR shark 20. Another motor with great mid throttle response. So many others have too much on and off, kind of like racing with a Wii controller.

BTW, I use those in my Racer classics. With those heavier Resin cars that throttle response makes them very drivable.

Scaleauto Blue Ball Bearing Motor.......Hens Teeth.

I ruined mine in a soldering mishap.  Great running motor, fantastic power spread, right to the bitter end.

...and to all a good night.

Thanks for posting Bill, I hadn't seen a lot of those. I recognized a few folks even with the darker hair.

I went through a phase where I picked up a few "older" controllers just to go along with some of the older cars. But apon closer

examination there are a couple  I'd be afraid to plug in.

They look good Bill, but controllers with metal triggers went out of fashion quite some time ago. Al and I use bare aluminum hangers with no problem. Well some guys have problems, but usually it is with the OTHER end of the controller. LOL

I don't know Chris, after cleaning up the Rat's nest of wires under mine I was kind of impressed with the neatness.

Of course in my own defense in between the time I got mine fired up and getting the timing system I had a stroke so things got a little hairy, I would never had got it installed without Monte & Al while I concentrated on not falling out of my chair.

The track and I are much better now.
