Topic: Paint stripping

I need to strip some paint off a resin body.  I have used brake fluid on plastic models but I'm not sure about resin.  Who's done this and what did you do?

Re: Paint stripping

FYI- I used 91% Rubbing alcohol and it worked very well.

Re: Paint stripping

In your case-probably coffee.   91% instead of the normal 70% at most stores.

Oooooooooooooohhhh, COFFEE NUDGE!!!! YUM, YUM!!!!

So seriously, where do you have to go to get the 91% stuff....

Re: Paint stripping

I bought it at Rite-Aid for $2.49.  I just saw it at WalMart for $1.79.  You just have to look for the 91% on the label instead of 70%.  It took a while but it worked.  After the paint got soft I used some 0000 steel wool to facilitate removal.
