OSCAR Rule Changes

A couple of rules changes were proposed by Bill Bostic at the October 2026 race at Tom's World in Bend.  Both were approved and adopted by the racers in attendance. Senior racers involved in the meeting included; Tom Street, Bob Nakamura, Bob Hanna, John Gill, and Curt Dorn.

1. Rule change regarding the Clubman Class. Bodies: Any Production Sports Car Body that does not exceed 2 15/16” in width. Width was changed from 2 15/16" in.  to 3.0" in.

2. A rule change was adopted under "Body Height" regarding lower rocker panel body trimming for the Clubman and Production Sports Car classes. This detail was added to the rules: Body Height, Minimum: Configuration and roofline Must remain unaltered however, bodies may be lowered by trimming the bottom edge as long as the body still meets these requirements: 1. The line between the bottom of the door and the rocker panel is evident/clearly visible. 2. The  front grill opening is fully intact/unmodified.
