Womp Saturday

The CRSCR Womp class invaded the Gorge Raceway for a Saturday afternoon shootout. This is only time the Womps will compete this year at The Gorge Raceway and 7 racers came to have an afternoon of fun. Steve Ennis brought his son Grayson for his first time racing a Womp and competed in his first race. Great job driving and corner marshalling Grayson. The atmosphere was light as racers prepared for a 2 round sprint race with 4 minute heats. That proved to be a perfect heat length to give everyone plenty of racing time to hone their skills and to have some close side by side competition. Their were a few bad crashes, but all cars finished the race in one piece. The Womps are pretty durable. Thanks you to those who brought snacks to share. These short sprint races allow plenty of time to do other activities and everyone goes home while there's daylight. Thank you again racers for your continued support. The Results:
