Topic: This is the Late Modified page.

First race of this new class called: Late Modified. Held on Feb. 1, '25. One time through at five minute heats. Small turnout as not many racers have a car for this class yet.

It was a rough night. Thanks for the loner Howie. I was just starting to get  the hang of the track till I was cleaned out under the bridge. Look like I need to fire up the solder iron and the paint booth and build a car.

Al had the race sewed up until his motor decided to let go in his next to last heat race.

Douglas raced hard and in his final heat race he was the only driver left standing! Three of the last four drivers were out of the race due to crash damage or equipment failure!

great time was had last night although at times it felt like whoever made it to the finish line under power was in line to win the race as there was a multitude of failures whether it was gears, bodies, motors, controllers etc. etc. regardless thank you all for a great night and I look forward for the next race.

You're absolutely correct Steven. Getting to the finish line under power was at least half the battle! There are a few contributing factors that make this class of cars challenging! 1. These cars are fast! 2. Some of these chassis are somewhat delicate (mine is for sure!). 3. OPEN WHEELS! You rubbin' = You wreckin'!
