Topic: BRM 962C gearing

I need to replace the crown gear on my BRM 962C. I currently have a 9 tooth pinion but could change it if needed. Per the rules you can run 9 or 10 tooth pinions and 34 or 36 tooth crowns. Any suggestions about the best gearing for Al's track?

Re: BRM 962C gearing

I am running 9/34. Seems to work fine.

Re: BRM 962C gearing

I would recommend a Parma gear if you're replacing the crown on an inline chassis.  They are much more robust and tolerant of shock loading.  There is also a wider range of number of teeth available.

All Parma gears are permissable under NASTE rules but you'd need to be stock if you race at Tacoma.

Sounds good. Thanks for the help!
