Buy him track.... He still owes me for the last car and I can't afford any more track for myself.
DAD aka Rico
I know that scenerio Rico! Hey that big track looks a lot like PIR!!! ----------------Bill
That's because it is. He saw the one posted on that link I sent you (Under World Tracks) and stated that it didn't look right. I think his is better than the one posted, but I might be kind of bias. I guess now that his is posted here we can let the rest of you decide which is better, if you choose to.
Rico
Actually it's pretty darned close - I've even gone around PIR a number of times on rally regularities and no, that is not at a high speed. Here's the actual PIR in red laid over AJ's track. A few tweaks and it's just about there.
Hey,anybody want to buy me some track?
When i have some free time I need to check out that track builder and see what I can come up with...
I've got a box of LifeLike track you can have.
Sorry....I should have put 1/32 on that last post
Say, didn't Bill have an unlimited supply of track? Now if Bryan has an unlimited space to built one, how about Spa-Francorchamps?
It has two cross-over tracks in it to equalize lane length. And it will fit on a 30x50 foot table.....
I like it George, one of my favorite tracks. How about that space Bryan?
Rico
thats really cool george!
how long did it take you to make that??
The base layout was done in about 30 minutes, but then I spend some time here and there over the course of a couple days to make adjustments. I think... I did these a while back and once you start clicking away with these programs time seems to stop. Or fly by, whatever....
I also did a four lane version, not with equal lane length but pretty close. Each lane about 18" to 20" shorter than the next: 129.8', 131.3', 133.0', 134.6' in a 44.8' by 22.8' space. So if we ever get an old warehouse space we can set it up.... ;-)
Well I've gone from 2 lane fun track, to full blown 4 lane track, and now have settled on a 2 lane test track (for now). It's up and runnin' with Scalextric RMS counting/timing and I'm learnin' stuff! ----------------Bill
