Topic: NASTE 2009 Race Schedule

The next NASTE Race is at Pelican Park in Eugene in 2 weeks. I'd like to get the car pooling details planned out. I am volunteering to drive the "Toaster" down. I have room for three passengers. I will need to know who is planning to go down for the race, and what time we want to head down. If more people are driving maybe a staging point and we can all drive down together. Possibly a stop for food? Doug is opening up the track at 10:00am for practice. The race starts at noon. I would like to go down early and stop for breakfast. Any ideas?  -------------------Bill

Re: NASTE 2009 Race Schedule

NASTE Halloween Race - Jeff Courtney is progressing well on the room for his 1/24 track. Jeff is planning to have the track up and running by the date for the NASTE Halloween Race, November 1st. If all things go according to plan the NASTE Halloween Race will be held on Jeff's track. TOOBAD Motorplex in Fairview will be the alternate site should things not go as planned.  -------------------Bill

Re: NASTE 2009 Race Schedule

I'd like to get a count of racers planning to attend the NASTE IROC race at Pelican Park in Eugene on Saturday Oct. 4th, so I can start a car pooling plan. Please shoot me an email if you're planning to go. Thanks!  ---------------------Bill

Re: NASTE 2009 Race Schedule

The NASTE Race at Pelican Park Speedway will be bringing together to different racing groups/clubs. With this blending of the clubs there will be one modification to the NASTE IROC rules of the 2009 season. For the Pelican Park race, drivers will be allowed to use their own controllers, provided the controllers are the Parma wound resistor type controllers (up to and including the Parma Turbo grade controllers). Electronic controllers, controllers with sensitivity adjustments (including wound resistor types), and controllers with variable brake adjustments (also including wound resistor types) will not be allowed. Legal controllers will be available for loan.

Pelican Park is a beautiful track! If you have not had the opportunity to visit or race on it, this is your chance. Doug is opening his track early at 9:00am, so everyone can have an opportunity to practice. It's going to be a great day of racing!   ---------------------------Bill

Re: NASTE 2009 Race Schedule

Bill/Monte- I was excited because my wife was working the 5:00am to 2:00pm shift the day of the race and thought maybe I could make it down on the assumption the race was at the normal evening slot.  After reading this post I found out the race is at noon instead.  It would be nice if the calender was updated with times and locations for all the races that are known.  It goes without saying we will not be able to make it.

Thanks for listenin

Re: NASTE 2009 Race Schedule

Hey Rico, The calendar is up to date with all the dates, times, locations etc. The problem is; if you use Microsoft Internet Explorer to view the site, for some reason it does not show all the race dates on the calendar (believe me they're there!). Monte has been working to see what the problem is, but still at this point there does not seem to be a fix. If you use Firefox for the browser it will come up just fine with all; the dates and times.  ---------------------Bill

Re: NASTE 2009 Race Schedule

That would be the problem then, as I am using Internet Exploder.  It also does not work with Qwest/MSN browser either FYI
