Thanks again Monte and Victoria for a fun filled afternoon of racing. I and my car love the new surface and I still think I'm in a food coma, especially after round two for dinner. See you again next month.

Excellent! I can't wait to give it a run.
I agree. NSR P68 prefered here!
Looks great guys, but now the big question. Did it help with the deslots?
Is this a private debate or are you going to turn the rest of us loose on the track and then make a determination? Did all the track joints get sanded or just those two seen in the pictures?
Nice work Monte and Victoria. Our bathroom is painted with that stuff and it does feel and look like sandpaper. I hope that the grip level does not become too much to handle. Have you been able to test it yet?
Thanks Howie- It's a little to slow to make the grade at Rapid Raceway but I might bring it along on Friday just for fun.
That's OK, I'll perservere on my own, but it's a losing battle.
No, Rico, I will just let the computer do it in a random manner.
In that case I may never win a heat.....
Not yet, I had to give slot cars a break yesterday in a weak attempt to convince the wife I'm not completely obsessed, which of of course I am.
Are you going to group drivers of similiar skill level?
I couldn't have said it any better.

I realized that it was the same lane in both directions, but any kind of barrier would still have to let the blue lane pass through with out obstructing it's path in either direction. What about something that retains it's shape but was still flexible? If you put the posts on the ends far enough apart you might be able to make it work by letting it flex a little if need be with out deslotting the car.
I didn't realize just exactly how close the results were when they were announced. I also didn't realize just how close those lanes were. WOW!

I think one thing that would help minimize the deslots would to do some leveling on the track joint seen at the very bottom of the picture. Either fill, sand and paint or just sand and paint. Any filler would be easily separated if the track ever needs to come apart. Maybe the joint before the tee could also get some attention.
Just my humble opinion

Thanks Monte and Victoria for a fun filled afternoon and some exciting racing as well as few major smackums. The food was plentiful and extraordinary.

Who's a peein'?
George- This is a separate series from the proposed series at BSCC and has separate rules. The Fly class at BSCC has been pushed back to next summer so people only have to worry about preparing one car for racing at BSCC this winter which is going to be the SCX GT cars
Rico
I have a few too! Rally cars that is.
Thanks to Randy and family for hosting the Enduro today- if you were'nt there, you missed a great time, a ton of good food and a visit from some of our Seattle area friends. All in all a great time was had by everyone and the racing was very close to the end.
Regards
