I'm planning to start racing again. I found my controller (well one of them anyway) yesterday. It was in a box with my BRM cars. Now if I can just find cars for the classes being raced I'll be in good shape.

Ok, here is the story on the motor: I was too low for tech, so I raised the car up to pass tech and never checked the gears, and that caused the gears to tighten up too much consequently burning up the motor which put on quite show of smoke!

BTW: I have never rewound a motor in my life!

I still had a lot of fun and that is the bottom line to me!

I have done many in my rc racing days.wasway to much work back then and the motors were huge next a slot car motor.

After just a few laps Howie's car laid down a very impressive smoke screen. The motor totally fried and Howie had to switch to a back up car. Hence the disqualification.

I'm assuming since Chris is not taking this over as he has in the past, that no one is thinking of going? No representation by the Oregon Donors?

I not sure but I think there was some issues on the last race that might of put a bad taste on going back up and running again.

Jeff, you left your chrome Fly Porsche 908 at my track after last Saturday's race. I'll bring it to the 10/11 Thursday race if I don't have a conflict.

no racing on that date
Due to a scheduling conflict there will not be a race on 10/11/18. The Point Series Championship races will start on 10/25/18.
so were can i get my racing fix. jonesing bad man bad........cant sleep food has no taste got the shacks need a fix just a one little race is all i need. cant go 4 weeks man just cant.....

Talking about cars I ended up with a stock side winder gear and tabbered a axle in my box.???????

No no your in over your head.no way you can chicken out now. You have to see it all the way through. Being that your a past champ and all. Your input is important

Well the talk on the other forums is it much faster by a large margin.

There might be a issue with the gt3 rules. when they were written up all the Scalextric cars came with a  18kish f130 style motor.they new Scalextric Ford GT GTE comes with a slim can motor that is 26,800 @ 12 VDC. do we want to let these car be class legal or not. or just go with the flow and see if it a big advantage or not. don't want to have a another Thunderslot type issue with the class. there is a 18k replacement if we need to change

Health issues? Nothing big Doc, I only had a stroke last week. Improving quickly. Neurologist has to release me to be able to drive. Chris is my chauffeur at the moment. I've had my own wheels and the wide road every day since my 15th birthday so this is very strange.

Damn that nothing to joke about.. Wish you a fast recovery there Mitch

I'm not sure where I'll be Thursday, I'm just glad to be vertical at the moment.
I think I like the idea of LMP basically because the class is so broad that almost everybody has something that will fit. Granted with the variety of Manufacturers the performance is all over the place but that seems to happen with just about whatever we decide to race, as least everybody has a starting point without having to go shopping first.

You doing ok Mitch? hope you not having any health issues.....

LMP Era (LMP) - Full fendered sportscars from 1994 through current, 22k motor limi
Lmp is is a very large class from slot it lolas and Audi 8, McLaren F1 GTR, Nissan R39, Porsche 911 GT1,Panoz LMP-1 Roadster to most of the modern gt cars.it would be cheaper and easy to get and set up a car.
