Thank you for sharing the pictures bill, hope you guys had fun.

Hey Bill: Thank you for hosting another great Thursday night of ruckus slam-in fighting race bouts @ Too-Bad raceway! You are to be applauded for sharing you're track and home for all of us racers, enough cannot be said for you're efforts!! Had a great time being shoved around the track last night. I have to really thank Chet' here for his letting me use his brm car last night, that beast really hauls, and i feel really privileged he shared it with me! For me that is one of the acts that make Naste special for me. I am already anxious for the next Thursday night race. Now i need to find a "legal" vintage car.

Victoria & Monte; thank you both, and all the folks that shared their snacks with me. Had a great Sunday with great people and lots of great racing!

Bill: Thank you for the snacks & "slam-bam" night of great racing. Lots of fun with a great group of people. Rico; please tell dominic i said thanks for the great job of getting my brm car back on the track when i landed in "no-mans land", he did a great job of jumping in there and grabbing the picker and getting me back on track in the right lane and in the right direction-well done!
Kid volt; great job of driving with you're group c car, you really have that car flying.

Mitch: Next Thursday will be fine, let me know how much they are so i can bring you the money. I might ask for several sheets also, since i am tuning cars for some of my racer buddies i am getting low on my thin stock.

Earth to Mitch - Earth to Mitch!

I need you to order some new "larger diameter tires" (Paul Gage?) for you're Lotus F-1 car i am working on. The rear under body where the crown gear is located is dragging on the track/Bills copper tape sad  !

Bill: I am willing to go with Sunday racing. It would interesting to see if more racers can attend, as they may not have kids activity's to attend, and there should be a lot less congested traffic problems to contend with. I feel it would be worth while to find out what day/schedule works best to gather more racers, which i feel means more fun. It might be we may need to rotate/schedule both days to allow more people to race.

If you place 2nd in the race-you are not winning!

Bill: Thank you for having the race night.  The air might have been warm, but the racing was hotter-it was a great night of racing and food and laughs.

Hey JM: I bought my bastard file at ACE hardware, they had three different lengths to choose from.

Bill: Thank you for posting the pictures of John's "tire sanding center".

John: Thank you for sharing  the "tire sanding center" with you're racer buddies. My complements on you're engineering and wood working abilities to build the center, it is a work of art!

Bill: Thank you for hosting another great Thursday night race, glad to see you are doing better also. Sure is fun having the competition getting closer thru out the pack, unless of course some one is having car problems like blowing the crown gear out!

Bill: Sorry to hear you are still not back to normal, hope that starts to change soon for you.  smile

Thanks for the "big Orange" info, i will definitely have to see if i can find it on my side of town. I have cox part that need to be cleaned. Be interesting to hear what you find after the soaked tires have dried out  to find out if they stay soft.

Chet'; i have tried/used oven cleaner to clean some model car styrene bodies, if i remember correctly it pretty much worked on paint jobs that were sprayed over primer, but the smell and caustic ingredients (use "good" gloves) were not pleasant to work with. I read (on line) that Simple green does work (very slowly) but that post 1962 model car styrene parts can be left in for extended (weeks) periods, i believe it will not attack clear parts. I would definitely constantly check in short time periods on any other "plastic you want to strip. I am used to using  brake fluid on my post 1962 model car stripping projects, do not put clear parts in brake fluid, it will fog it.

Well Rico that's more positive than "maybe"! Hey guys i was thinking ( i know i shouldn't) about running the BRM 512's 917's & include (existing plastic chassis) same vintage years model car bodies mounted. How about, if we were to get more racers, creating a parallel class to existing BRM class, maybe called "BRM 24th Vintage" where we run the cars at a lower voltage (as crash & burn?), or just laps counted only (no fastest times included). This would not be about fastest laps, but total laps accumulated. What do you guys think?    roll

To my knowledge i do not know if we are going to run a class for these. I bought mine because i do have a 917 (now i need a alum chassis for it), and i just really like this particular Sunoco car. I wouldn't mind running the car as long as we are not tearing them up like our BRM Porsche 962/956 cars. Just my 1/2 cents. tongue
