Well with your third place finish, the best Bryan could have done is to tie you..............

You guys both had a great season! It looks like you two were quite a few points ahead of everyone else.

I can't wait for the rematch next year! There are quite a few racers in our group who are capable of a win at any race. It is looking like we may have a couple HO tracks back in the mix next year, and hopefully my track will be done.

And, I am sure Bryan will be back and loaded for bear!!!!  ---------------------------Bill

So I was just looking at the scores going into the last race at Larry's. It looks like the race for the championship was much closer than I realized! It came down to this last race!

Going in Monte had a total of 112 points, with his lowest finish (a sixth place finish) thrown out. Bryan had a two point lead with 114 points, his lowest score to throw out was a zero from a race he had missed.

Although Bryan was two points ahead of Monte, if Monte finished better than sixth he would add to his point total. If he finished ahead of Bryan he would close the gap.

For Monte to win the 2011 Championship he would have to finish seventh or better, and finish three places ahead of Bryan.

Did he do it? Or has Bryan successfully defended his title for another year?

Unfortunately I missed the announcement of the finish positions after the race. I was in the "Blue Box"................funny how it's painted Ford blue huh!? I wonder if that means anything?

Larry, Thanks to you and Lynette for hosting yesterday's race. The new Slingshot track was a blast, and the food spread filled me up! Lynette, your chili was fantastic! It was great to see some of my old friends (emphasis on the "old"). Man, where have the years gone?    ----------------------Bill

...........................I'll keep looking............................

you won't even notice.......................

In lieu of a lexan interior, can I use card stock?

Cool, I'll see if I can make up some ground on you guys.......

OK with me...............

1 question: Can I switch out my car's full interior for a lexan interior pan like the Pro cars?

Jack,
We are very sorry to hear of your troubles. Don't worry about the race, it's a minor thing. Take care of your situation.

I'm open to any of those four suggestions Rico. Whatever the class could you put together a list of eligible cars? That was helpful for me.

Looks like it's down just us four...................

hope all that was coherent..............the Vicodin is kicking in......................my stomach feels like a well used punching bag!!!!

Yes, and..............................OK!

OK, so the three of us are probably pretty well covered for any type or brand of car we decide to race, or are willing to purchase a new car. What about everybody else? I think we need to hear from others interested in racing to see what they think. Seems there are quite a few who are content with racing loaner cars. Are any of them interested in purchasing a car to race? What are they willing to pay for a car to race? Of the racers who have their own cars, what are they willing to pay for another car?

Who's out there?   Who's interested?   Speak up now, or it may be just Monte, Rico, and ME racing!

Is a guide flag swap feasible?

Well I think it's safe to eliminate the Revell Corvette Grand Sports...........you guys are right, they handle like CRAP!!!!

Rico's Revell Lola T70 seemed to work pretty well. I also like the mini cars like the Revell Trabant Dave was running around, or the small SCX or Reprotech Abarth Fiats.

The Revell cars (or Carrera for that matter) are pretty cheap to buy for those that don't have them. Some SCX cars are fairly inexpensive as well.

Isn't the GT class pretty much what we have been running? I'd be OK with Can Am cars also.

EVERYTHING Rico said!!!! A most excellent Penguin -type event!!!

I would think either would work fine. I usually figure about 4" minimum around the edges where cars are likely to fly off the table.
