Well here it is 2 days before the Halloween race and yet again I have no car ready..........Why do I do this every year?
No ideas this year.... Too much going on..... New kitchen counter tops going in and the contractor is less than ideal!.... I have work to do there before Friday.
Booked up until late afternoon today.........Guess I'll try to resurrect a previous entry sometime tomorrow........
Like I said last year............."Next year I'm going to get an early start on my Halloween car!"...........................so I said....................
I just hope I'm still around to see him hold a controller on his own!!!!
Hey, we gotta try somethin' to get some competition for Bryan!
Let's see, by the time Henry is 12, Bryan should be close to 60? Maybe that will help too!!!!
You can see Henry in action with his new SCX Race Set here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWOyXXLIGC0
Here's my Grandson Henry practicing his slot car racing skills (with a little help from grandma)...............

I just had to get a couple close up photos of this car!

The chassis workmanship on all of the entries was outstanding in quality and detail! But that wasn't all. Just check out the amazing paint jobs on the bodies!

That rear engine (or in this case motor) is a vintage 36D. Yes, it is HUGE!

Edgewater Raceway in Salem will be hosting the 5th race of the NASTE 2014 season. I recently visited the raceway to get a look at the track and the cars we will be racing. Dave Smith has assembled and tuned four Parma FCR chassis with 4 inch NASCAR bodies for the race. These cars will be raced in an IROC format, typical of current NASTE races. This is going to be a race you will not want to miss!

Here's a look at the track from the front door:

Here's the four IROC cars we will be racing on November 9th:
