I'll host one.

OH YEAH!!!

I have a little bit of Scaley track!!!

Wow Doc, sounds like absolutely NO fun! We sure missed you at the race!

How long will you be in the hospital, and what hospital are you at?

Lists updated as of July 7, '16 races.

Odd Thursday Night racing on July 7th, 2016 -

We welcomed three generations of Morgans to our race at TooBad Motorplex, Robert, David, Seth, Sammy, and Robert. We hope you guys and a good time and we hope to see you at another race soon!

The first race of the evening was for the Can Am/USRRC Class where Monte Saager took the win with his Slot.it Alfa 33/3. Monte edged out Rico Locati by just 1/10th of a lap. The next starting grid consisted of Trans Am cars. In this class Rico Locati pushed his Scalextric '69 Camaro to the win, just 3/10ths of a lap ahead of Greg Petrolati. For the last race of the night BRM Group C cars were placed on the track track. Rico Locati again just edged out Greg Petrolati for the win. We used a "track call" format for the BRM race which made for some very exciting racing! A big thanks to all that made it out to race!

You're welcome Rico! The "Season In The Toilet" award was a combined member effort. I can't take credit for the trophy itself as Bryan Trachsel is responsible for the design and build. My part was knowing what the suitable application and reward was for said trophy. In this case I think it was 100% on the mark! I really wish you could have made the Shoot Out! You had earned your spot with a great run in the 2016 NASTE Point Series Championship!

Holy Cow Doc!!! Take it easy and get better!!!

We'll help you down the stairs at Al's at the next race!!!!

As most of you already know our website for tires is up and running. You can check the website www.BOSATires.com for the different tires we offer. All you local club guys need to but directly from Monte or I to get the NASTE Club price. If there are tires you want you can either leave a message here or shoot me an email message. I'm pretty close to caught up on current requests for new tire sizes to be molded. If there are tires you'd like to see us make let us know, again by posting here or sending me an email.

Thanks!   ==========Bill

Interesting info on magnets! In the early eighties when the "rare earth" magnets first hit the slot car scene we were racing HO cars. A couple of use did a lot of experimenting and also visited a business that specialized in magnets. At the time it was located on southeast 52nd. When we talked with them and showed them what we were working on they were also very interested. They introduced us to the newest hottest thing just coming out - neodymium magnets! At that time we were experimenting with them as traction magnets on HO cars. It was crazy! Anyway I experimented with them as motor magnets. Back then I was rewinding a lot of armatures for HO cars, and experimenting with different "winds". Through experiments I found a basic rule of thumb applied in regards to the ratio between a motors magnetic field and the number of laminations on the armature. If I increased the motor's magnetic field they seemed to perform better if I increased the number of laminations on the armature's plate stack, regardless of what "wind" I put on them.

As for your F1 car, for me the F1 cars are the hardest to set up and to drive! I don't know all of what Goose does, but he IS the F1 MAN........or "GOOSE"...........whichever..............

I've used striping tape before to hide the bleed where I've taped off lines. I've always had mixed results with my masking jobs too! I do like the choice of color on that car!

I will probably bring the Jeep. Let me know if you are going to bring the brake drum so I can leave my rear seat at home to make room for the drum!

Sure thing Dan, that would be great! If you want you can just bring it to the next race at my place. Either way is fine, whichever works best for you.

Thanks!   ======Bill

Update from our Crew Chief/Designer/Builder/Driver:

GRAVITY RACING UPDATE

Gravity Racers hit the road on Tuesday with a short trial run.  The car is fast and responsive.  Horn, warning lights, back-up camera system, steering and brakes all function as planned. Front quarter panels, hood and final paint job and livery are all that remain.  Planning a run down Scappoose/Vernonia HWY ( 45 mph +) SOON..

5 shares @ $ 10 each remain.  Be part of History and share in the glory at the upcoming race on August 20th.

Will advise on S/V trial run date.  Probably on a Sunday morning (fewer cops and less traffic). All are invited to witness and celebrate at the local pub following.

Valeria Victrix !
