Nice link, thanks. The other day I was working on a couple of cars in the unheated garage and I left them there for a couple of hours. Later I took them downs stairs to find they were sliding all over the track. My first thought was I had done something wrong with the guide and the front was dragging. It took a minute to realize that maybe I should let the tires warm up a little.

From what we have seen on the TooBad track I think tire and track temp has a lot to do with grip. Through the seasons, summer to winter and racing after dark versus light, we can definitely seen the differences in both lap times and lap count at the end of a race. I've noticed Jeff is paying attention to his tire temps before he starts his heat races and his performance has improved considerably. Maybe I'll start keeping records of track temp for races?
