Bit of snow, bit of ice here in Tigard. Spent most of the time playing in the basement. not much else to do anywhere, warmer weather is on the way though. I'll probably charge the Harley battery this week.  My phone says 58 degrees on Monday.

Re: diggging out. the great storm of 2021

We lost 3 branches out of the birch tree in the back yard. Two smaller ones and a pretty good sized one. We lost power for about a minute and lots of flickers. My mom still has no power along with no update on it’s return

Re: diggging out. the great storm of 2021

Lots of small branches down; a couple of inches of snow that turned to crusty ice and then everything gone today. So not many problems in Newberg, except it prevented construction on the remodel for YET MORE DAYS.

Re: diggging out. the great storm of 2021

We had ice fall and stick, then snow, then ice.  Weighed trees down significantly.  Been without power since Fri, last word from PGE is that they have stopped guessing when we may get it restored, but word of mouth is 10 to 14 days out still.  There are trees and limbs down everywhere.

And then my favorite...  I spent 3 days LAST WEEK trimming the broken branches from this tree due to the windstorm in January.  Now I get to do it all over again!  I've spent more time in my climbing gear in a tree than in the mountains lately, and I'm going to have to get pretty far up there to get at some of the newly broken limbs.  Yay!!!

Re: diggging out. the great storm of 2021

Chris, yes, some truck doors frozen shut, and a 1-inch layer of ice on the front windscreen. The bed cover was a joy to get open as well.

Re: diggging out. the great storm of 2021

Not too bad out here.  We went to the store for supplies on Thursday then stayed home until the roads cleared.  No power loss but not much generation from the Solar panels.

Re: diggging out. the great storm of 2021

YAY!!!  I have power back now!

Re: diggging out. the great storm of 2021

Glad to hear that Chris. I've done the week plus thing and I do not recommend it.
