Looks  like a track again. May routing dust fly. I have not done a damn thing since I tore every thing apart. Root cause is a .lack motivation

Didn't aomeone get killed at construction  site a few years ago were they were putting one of those concrete  walls up and it fell and smashed a worke rin Portland? What a bad way to go. Not there is really any good way to go

well it is back to build mode for me, the old track and table are history  dump run is done, now off to local home depot to buy some building supplies for the new table. 1st thing is building those hollow beams.

good thing osha  does not follow these forum. no safety glasses or mask being worn and is that a creeper sitting on the floor just waiting for some one to step on it let alone the power cord next to combustibles and the clutter tis tis there Bill

Looks like that track that Montie has was there 1st track they built..

hope so. I.m not much of a wood worker so it may there might be few o crap moments during the build

well track and table are all taken apart. looks like most of the wood is reusable. need to make a dump run and then figure how Im going build these tiliting table light enough that one guy can fold it up with busting a ball or two... these is what I.m aiming for.

Well nothing like challenge  to make you pull your hair. Just look at me. My whole life been a challenge and you can see how much hair I have. Good luck

Why not just build the whole new section, that way you only need to shim  the one end, and take care of trying to get that angle correct on the corner..

Must be good stress  relief  after the test drives hey  bill

Way to tease everybody Rico. For a min there I thought we might be racing again. I'm in tear down mode on my track have one more table to tear apart and then it back to planning  and building the folding up table.

With the two temporary legs attached the curve is stable standing alone.

The curve is positioned to maintain 18 inches clearance from the other portions of the track to allow for turn marshals. Turn marshals will be able to access all portions of the track without crawling! No more hands and knees stuff for us old guys!

This is where the hairpin will sit in relation to the rest of the track. I will be adding about 12 feet overall to the lap length. The next step is to build the tabletop portion tying in the space between the curve and the rest of the track.

When I was attending UC Santa Barbara one of the guys in my dorm had borrowed his brother's Miura. Drove it down Hollister Road as fast as he could and wrapped it around a tree.

Well we are in tree hugging country. Did the tree make it through the crash and was a lawsuit taken up for the tree to sue the driver and owner????

I'm also getting ready to rip and tear on my track Doc, but I will make time to come over and give you a hand when you're ready.

Thanks I will take you up on that when the time comes

Should not be to bad. Just need to take a foot of the width and angle one end to clear the garage door  rail.   Table will havewhels so it can be moved out to the middle of the garage. Biggest. Thing making it light enough for one person to tilt  but still ridged not to twist or bend. Think I have good plan on the design. Going need help when it comes to the track though.

well I finally pulled the trigger and tore up the track the for re build of the table to something I can fold up against the wall and be able to park my cars again inside. need to find some boxes to put all the track and boarders in and then start on tearing the table apart and seeing what I can save for reuse and what needs to go to the dump... think  the plane is  to rebuild and go with wood analog and the build a 2nd smaller table and go digital again......

Yeah I had plans on redoing my table and track but it is way to hot in the garage  to do anything right now.

Just to clarify, the Halloween race does not count for points.

I have not heard of any plans, comments, or ideas about adding tracks to the line up. There are some nice new tracks out there that could surely be added if the interest is there!

I heard there is a really nice one over by Vancouver Mall. The owner  is a really swell  guy to boot.
