Thanks Bill,

The 4 1/2 NASCARs ran suprisingly well on the track. Yea there were a couple dogs but everone had the opportunity to run them. Gail thinks that you guys were all great guests. Boy do we have her fooled!

I think I'm speaking for the rest of the Cape Horn racers when I say that we had a great time and are looking forward to racing with yall in the future.

A 1000 LAP GTR Enduro was run at Cape Horn Speedway on Friday Oct 18. 3 Teams competed for 2.5 hours on the 60 ft Bow Tie RED at the horn. Lap times in the 2.8 to 3.001 second range were accomplished by all teams. Results were as follows:

1st Place with 1000 LAPs was taken by the team of Jim Reshonie and Russ Bach.

2nd Place was achieved by team Bob Wilgus and Dann Buck.

2 rd Place was awarded to the team of Gabe Reshonie and Ryan Floyd.

Fun was had by all. The next race at the Horn will be the NASTE IROC on November 8th. Hope to see you all there.

Good to see you guys up here at the Horn. We had fun. Bill is right about the Falcon 7 being alot quicker than the earlier versions. Even with the disadvantage that Bill and John had with the older motors, they posted respectable results in both races. Hope to see you all again soon!.........Rick

Bill,
It was great seeing you guys up at the Horn. Looking forward to seeing you on August 23rd. We plane to race the Sprint Cup COT and the Retro Flexi GT Coupes that day. Its nice to see that there are others in the Vancouver/Portland area that share my addiction (slot cars that is big_smile).

Thanks Kidvolt,

I emailed Bob two pdf files with pictures of the track and a set of rules we have been running and will be running for any non-NASTE event. For those we will run the NASTE rules of course. Like I told Bob in the email we will be running the GTR and Indy Car classes. The track will open at 2 PM for practice, tech inspection and qualifying at 4:30, GTR at 5:30 and Indy Car at 7 pm. The address of Cape Horn Speedway (my house) is:

431 Hoffman Road
Washougal, WA.

You can get directions on Google or MapQuest or get a copy from Bob. The specs for the GTR and Indy Car classes are listed below. Keep in mind that the GTR is a first for us so I will have some GTR painted bodies on hand.
