Look! We're making progress.
Saturday morning and the last of the plaster has been poured. Good thing, I am so tired of plaster...
Saturday afternoon and the base paint is pretty well down.
Time for some grass!
Progress continues.

I'll be bringing a stack of GT cars and anything else that strikes my fancy but will probably only have time to go straight there.
That's a lot of cars!
Penguin Point will be glad to enter the schedule as well. We're even happy with a GT class as described.
I like the added advantage of a magnet, I think it could really help the newer folks. Everybody should get to win a time or two.
Tuesday seems to work well for many of us already.
Maybe Tony could give us some info on the rest of that. I have no idea myself. But it sounds like fun to me.
A big salute to all our hosts! Rico, Kelly and AJ, Bill and Diane, Drew, and Victoria.
Breakfast at Rico's was great. All the bacon I could want and more. The Brownies at Bill's almost made up for those tension-filled laps around his track. I never felt so slow while hearing how fast I was going. Drew's basement was a welcome relief from the afternoon heat but the track was the real treat. We've got some great video from there. Victoria did a great job out here of keeping the pizza rolling. I don't know which was more competitive, the rally or the pizza!
I thought all the tracks were fun, especially the two that were new to me. Drew's with it's narrow roadway and bumps, and Bill's which was just tight and treacherous. And it was pretty cool seeing rally cars catch air on the bridges.
But as always, it's not so much what you're doing but who you're doing it with.
That was the best part.
Some of us are already here! We'll see if we can't get the track warmed up for you.
If you have room, we'd be interested in riding part of the way. If not, we'll get around.
Next season winner? I think you should go retro-active on those. And thanks to Dorothy for providing us so much in the way of pictures and video from this past season. We had a great time.
That's pretty darn cool though. Congrats Bill.
I've been laying out my rally track for stage 4. Here's a preview.
Give us a try. We're bound to have something that won't. ;-)

Thanks and we'll hope to see you again next month.
Here's an updated list of all the motors and which classes they can apply to. Consider this list quite official.
Thank you Hammer! Must have been the lack of rum balls.
Yes, so did we. Thanks for hosting Larry.
As for myself, it was probably the first time I've won a 1:24 scale race since before I had a drivers license. Victoria's comment: "I felt like i did pretty good".
More useful information:
The final stage which will be conducted at the Penguin Point Rally track will involve SCX standard track which means a shorter guide blade will be desired since the old-style slots aren't as deep as the newer style. Competitors will be allowed to substitute a different guide blade or trim the existing one if clearance is an issue.
This will be the ONLY adjustment contestants will be allowed during the event other than repair situations arising from on course issues.
In the case of on course issues involving a contestants car (breakdown) the clock will continue to run while repairs are affected.
Here's an additional bit for the rules.
Cars in Modern Class and Group B will be split into two classifications - AWD and 2WD.
This now gives us five different scoring classifications.
Great stuff from a fun night, thanks Dorothy!
A pleasant group of 11 racers came to the Point this past Sunday to do battle with the NC-5 powered cars from Ninco. Many others were probably still suffering their Saturday night NASTE hangover. And in the first set it was Rico rocking to a near-perfect first set and a total of 51 points. Monte was just behind with a total of 50 after losing a heat to the previous night's winner Terry. But in the second set the Big Smooth pulled it together and got a 15 lap heat on White. It was the first 15 lap heat of the day. He then ran another 15 lap heat in the yellow lane and I think that is a Sunday first for the NC-5 cars. A big thanks to Victoria for another excellent pot of soup and of course Dorothy's famous chocolate recipes. Nothing like a First Sunday.
Monte Saager - 103 pts.
Rico Locati - 101
Terry Abbott - 97
Dorothy Abbott - 90
Greg Petrolati - 90
Tracy Flood - 90
Steven Ennis - 88
Jimmy Jones - 82
Russell Flood - 81
Bryan Dickinson - 77
Victoria Saager - 76
Lifetime points will be updated. We'll see you in May.
Oh yes, happy happy Dorothy. Thanks so much for all you do for us.
Thanks Andre and Suzanne. We had a great time and the racing was pretty good too!
