What's the rat status Smooth????

Don't tell me Howie, let me guess...........he was one of the guys with a tarp???.............     -----------------Bill

GREAT story, thanks!!!!

Smooth,

I like classic F1, just not sure how much variety there would be with available cars.

LMP might be good. I think most people have at least one, and maybe the different brands might be close in performance?

NASCARs would probably be a hoot on your track! It would be interesting to see how the different brands compare in that class.

We talked a little about racing cars most of us already own. I've raced A1 GPs, SCX NASCARs, Slot. Its, and Carrera Vintage NASCARs at BSCC. Except for the Carreras I wouldn't mind racing any of those again on your track.

The 1/43 SCX NASCARs Dave was testing out on your track looked like they might be fun (without the magnets of course)!

I wouldn't even mind racing cheap crappy handling cars as long as everyone is racing cheap crappy handling cars! (My Ninco Mini Cooper comes to mind!!!!)

I would really like to see a class where people could race different brands (Scalextric, Ninco, SCX, etc.).

Jack,  Oh yeah, no doors to the track!

Yes, 5:00 pm open and 6:00 pm race start sounds good to me!

Jack, What time you gonna open the doors, and what time does the race start?   -------------------Bill

Thanks again Monte & Victoria!!!!

Great RACING..................GREAT food........................Great hunting!!!!

The Porsche is fixed and ready for the next round! Scrapped out those lousy Ninco parts for some quality NSR pieces! I think Pro Race is short for; Probably NOT Race-worthy when it comes to Ninco's parts.

Jack,

We can make a Tuesday work. Give me a date and I'll get it on the calendar.

I'm not sure what would work for spot removal of tampos and still leave decals and paint. All that type of work I've done is just to completely strip a car.

Maybe if you just heat it up a tad.....................................sorry buddy, I just can't seem to let it go!!!!

Jack,
The schedule currently lists the 8th race at Rico's on May 14th as the last race. So anytime after that race would be fine (i.e. last week of May or early June). Pick a day/date and let me know. I will edit the schedule to show your race as the 9th and final race of the season.

Removing inerdes and flaring fenders.............the call of the DREMEL, sounds like my kinda work!!!! I'll make time!!!!

-------------Bill  P.S. Will you need to borrow a paint booth??? My Grandaughter has an EZ Bake Oven we can use!!!  (Sorry, I couldn't help myself!!!!)

Sounds good! Shari's, what time?

I am planning to attend The Professor's upcoming enduro. I have three seats available in the Toaster for anyone intersted in car pooling.   ----Bill

Hey Jack,

It was great to be out racing at Randy's. I really like the class and the new layout.

Yes, I am still planning on the last race at your track. Last we talked you were thinking of a Wednesday evening race, and from what I gathered from everyone that should be fine. If you'd like to give me a date now that is fine, or if you'd rather wait that is fine also. We have plenty of time.    ------------------Bill

Randy, Gotta say I really enjoyed racing out at your place last Tuesday night. The Group C Slot.It Class is a blast, and I like the new track layout. Excellent job!  ---------------Bill

Got my Ninco Porsche 997 ready for the next race. I braced the rear of the chassis as Monte suggested. We'll see how it works...............

Thank you Monte & Victoria for another fun day of racing and eating!!!!   ---------------------Bill

I can't believe Ninco would use lexan for their "high performance" chassis. I've used lexan for various parts before and it is brittle and breaks fairly easily. Maybe they've also learned as the new pod chassis are not lexan.

I did add the decals, but I failed to use decal set to apply them. They were very old and when I applied a coat of Future they crinkled up. So now I am in the process of re-applying new decals (with decal set!).

The cars I have seen that have the new pod type chassis are the new ProRace Lightning versions of the Lamborghini, Ford GT, and the new Renault Megane.

And speaking of the new Ninco pod chassis, here's a couple things I don't like; the bodie's windows are too darkly tinted for me, and the rear axle assembly seems to pop out of the axle bearing brackets pretty easily (we'll do some testing Sunday at Monte's and see if its a problem or not).
