Parma FCR chassis

I just wanted feedback on why the Parma FCR brass chassis has not been turned into a class among any of the sanctions as they are a readily available chassis that is relatively cheap and with zero movement in the chassis it would come down to a drivers class think essentially a large scale womp with a hard body. I am sure they could be a blast with a hawk 7 motor.

New Parma 16D Motors From Mid America!

I'm sure some of you have heard that Mid America is now manufacturing new Parma 16D motors. This led to some discussion last week about the use of these motors would affect our current motor rules. We felt there probably would not be an distinct advantage so we edited our rules to allow all "stock" 16D motors regardless of manufacturer. Right now I believe there are only two manufacturers offering new 16D motors, Proslot and Mid America with the new Parma motors.

Just to verify our initial thoughts I decided to purchase one each oof the motors Mid America offers. There are 5 motors offered by Mid America. They are listed here in no particular order:

#702 Parma Sealed Big Daddy .560 S-16D.

#499 Parma Rotor Super S16-D.

#501 Parma Deathstar 16D.

#502 Parma Super 16D.

#701 Parma Sealed Cruiser .560 16D.

The McInSlot Mule by Kirk Smith

Let me introduce you all to the McInSlot (Mac In Slot) chassis developed and built by Kirk Smith. This chassis was based on an original design originally built by Kirk Smith and Bob McFarland. This latest version features adjustable components which enables the racer to custom tune the chassis to different tracks and changing racing conditions.

This particular chassis (which we lovingly refer to as "The Mule") has undergone extensive testing. During that testing small changes were made to the chassis construction resulting in a chassis with incorporated adjustable pieces. Adjustments include travel of the side pans up and down to control body lean, and available twist of the motor box which allows more or less available traction.

After much testing this chassis was entered in the Late Model NASCAR race at Tom's World in Bend. The chassis performed extremely well. Had it been in the hands of a better driver I am sure it would have finished on the podium. And although I did not post a very good finish due to my own actions, this chassis did allow me to post my best ever qualifying time!

There were no new post or active post this morning so here is something to look at. It is a 4" Flexi that we don't really race anywhere but we may be at Bill's on Mondays.

This car usually has a vintage stock car body on it but I noticed it had some small cracks in the fender wells that need attention. This "door stop is what came on the car. After reading an article about how "wing" car also ruined how hobby I added these small fake "wings" to create and air pocket wow what a difference. I've never driven a real wing car and this is not a wing car chassis or a group 12 motor, it is a 4" Flexy with an H&R Crusher motor, but it still the fastest car I own running 5.4 laps on my track with ease.

Very fun, just for fun car.

Have a good day folks and for those who are interested we will be racing Trans Am and GFX cars on Thursday at Al's.
