the real racing starts on the next race day. Zack has some crazy fast lmp cars to choose from. im pretty sure he is not going to be loaning any of them out to race against. better get you lmp tuned up there Rico I have new skins glued up and trued on my beast and have the other one ready also with new guild and tires. lets see if they can hold a candle to the champs car or well be all racing for 2nd place...

I can get the Mosler down to 5.5 but not very lap, I kind of have to sneak up on it, 5.6s are no problem.  Going to work on the 962 tomorrow, 5.8 seems to be its limit at the moment.

962 is a bit too early for LMP I think. But they can be very fast indeed.

My Lola "was" my best car. But in testing it at the house I broke the guide mount. So a new chassis in en route and I hope it is the same car when I'm done.

Zack you back up car  is faster than every bodies  a car. I even think even your back up to the back up is faster also...

The 962 is for the following race. I fiddled with it and got it to run a 5.70 but can't get it into the 5.6s. I did get the Mosler to hit 5.50 but couldn't get a 5.49. But then I couldn't repeat the 5.50 either.
the 962 is geared 9/28, I tried a 27 tooth crown gear but it slowed down a bit, it must be coming out of the corners a bit slower. i'll probably leave it as it is with the 9/28, it is quick enough but is fairly easy to drive too.

My 962 I installed a cg sidewinder pod and 10 32 gearing. Car is a smooth   performer. Tried that same set up in other  slot it cars and never got the same  kind of performance with them. Must of hit the sweet spot with that build. So I'm a little afraid  to mess with it .

Chris K built one that way for a proxy, it was lightning fast yet easy to drive. I tried it with my 956 but it wasn't the came. I never tried it on my 962 as it was so quiet and smooth, but if I can't get it below 5.7 I may try it.

To be competitive in that class I need to be able to run 5.5 and still keep it in the slot for 27 laps at a time.

Okay I went home and played around with gears,  I gained 4/10ths a lap on my track.  I'm ready for a rematch.

There  was a lot of door to door racing last night and along with that lots of carnage.  Never had a clean heat all night. Got very lucky to win that points race. Al had a few helped offs that cost him at least two laps..
