Re: RAPID 500 Seasoner Opener

One way to have more Nascar fun  .... is to hold 2 Rapid 500s per year. smile  I would drive 390 miles for it!

Re: RAPID 500 Seasoner Opener

Thanks to Howie for providing us a place to race. Also a big thank you Dennis, Ted and Howie for helping piece my car together so I l could even make the race. It was pretty awful for the first round. I made some changes which really helped for the second and third rounds until the axle got bent but even with an axle change it was never quite the same.

Regards
Rico

Race cars are neither beautiful nor ugly. They become beautiful when they win.

Re: RAPID 500 Seasoner Opener

Howie, it was another great event at Rapid Raceway! Really good turn-out and some awesome competition! Thanks for puting on another fantastic Rapid 500!

Send me some photos and I'll get them posted!

Re: RAPID 500 Seasoner Opener

My assumption was Ted would win the event .... when I left before the race was over. Congrats Marty!  On the same lap after 16 heats.

Re: RAPID 500 Seasoner Opener

Thanks for another excellent race event! It is great to have slot car racing in the area without a commercial track anywhere close.
Congrats to Marty for a hard fought win. There were so many battles within the field, the final results showed how close they were. Folks....That's racing as it should be. A special thanks to those who finished the race in spite of problems. You guys are heroes too.

Re: RAPID 500 Seasoner Opener

Thanks Howie.
I was running my best mid-pack race ever until My old Parma Motor heated up so much the wires were coming unsoldered. I guess I'll need to install a fresh Proslot and build a cooling fan. Meanwhile my Nastruck just need decals and it's ready to go. My Olds and '56 Ford just need screen and decals then they are ready also. See you in a couple of weeks.

Re: RAPID 500 Seasoner Opener

Mitch and any one else who may need screen: I have PLENTY of it!
