Re: The NASTE chassis!

This morning Zack stopped by Inslot's Checkered Flag Raceway for a test session with his prototype 2NASTE chassis. Zack had the chassis assembled and configured to his Trans Am 2 car. After running just a handful of laps he had the car settled into low four second laps. Zack let me take the car for a spin and I'll tell you this car is impressive! It is better than any of my current Scholer chassis cars. It is much more forgiving and can be pushed very hard in the corners! I'm really looking forward to these chassis being available! Thanks Zack!

After just a few laps Zack was consistently lapping the Checkered Flag course in the 4.5 second range.

Re: The NASTE chassis!

I made a Video last night as I was disassembling the car. It shows the small but many changes we made to the chassis in hope of making it more durable, and cheaper to build.

Re: The NASTE chassis!

Just so this remains updated here. I have nearly finished packaging all of the first 28 cars for delivery (I am purchasing 2).

As will all slot car kits, there may be some minor tuning up needed. I may add even more material to the H-plate next go around, but these are still a huge increase in strength over the original Scholer cars.

I well know the thrill of seeing a new product come to fruition.

Re: The NASTE chassis!

Hey guys, just a update for those of you who have been waiting on the axle brackets.

I have been going rounds with the company I ordered the parts from. With COVID, the size of the order etc. they have not been very easy to deal with.

So yesterday I went ahead and ordered 20 brackets cut, which I intend to jig and bend myself to get the remaining kits sorted out. Right now they are scheduled to be shipped around the 9th of this month, and I hope to complete them within 14 days of receiving them.

I am also pricing out a second run of these kits with some other manufacturers at this time, as there has been some outside interest in them.

ALSO:
I will be testing a heavyweight chassis for our open classes.

I will have 5 Titanium H-plates also available if you wish to try running your chassis in one of the Non-spec series. They will run about $12 each.

Thanks guys,
Zack

Re: The NASTE chassis!

Thanks Zack!

Re: The NASTE chassis!

Alright guys I have 10 rear axle brackets done up. Only took me scrapping 4 to get that many!

I have two kits for Monte to send out, I know Bill needs 1 or 2? I think Bob has a list of the others who need replacement or in stock kits. I have notified him as well.

Re: The NASTE chassis!

Great news Zack! I need 2 replacements for the crooked ones I gave you.

THANKS!

Re: The NASTE chassis!

I don't know what I need, I was going to pick my chassis up from Bob tonight or tomorrow, but that got scrapped.

Re: The NASTE chassis!

Awesome, thanks!

Re: The NASTE chassis!

Hey guys, just updating this thread.

I think most of the Club's cars are now sold. However I did a run of 30 cars for myself and still have around 10 left of that run.

Also, I have more of the Titanium H-plates as well as some Aluminum Nylock nuts that should be here soon. I am hoping these will be roughly the same weight as the current fasteners but provide even more reliability to these already solid cars.

Re: The NASTE chassis!

Thanks for keeping us updated Zack. It will be so nice to hit the tracks again and actually race, that is what the hell these cars are for! And of course to BS and have a good time!

Re: The NASTE chassis!

Hey Racers,
The club has 3 2NASTE Chassis left at 75.00 each. Let me know if you are interested in buying one and I will bring it to the next race (someday) or you can pick one up at my house in Troutdale. Thanks again Zack!!!

Re: The NASTE chassis!

I purchased one of these from Zack earlier today. I would have to say at first inspection this kit has many improvements over the original chassis. All of the bolt-on brackets are made of superior materials and quality.  I can hardly wait to get it assembled and race it.

Race cars are neither beautiful nor ugly. They become beautiful when they win.

Re: The NASTE chassis!

I need to get one of those. been in a big build mode since there has been zero racing... think i have built at least 6 1/32 cars . might as well do a 1/24  car  also...
