Topic: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

The second race of the Columbia George Championship using the 962 Porsche was supposed to be raced today. However as expected with this virus scare we only had 6 racers show up: Ted, Gearloose, Scott, John, Bob and myself and Jeff Fields stopped by to check out the "action". We did have some fun dialing the cars in and getting some track time.

I will reschedule this 962 race when this virus thing is over.

Re: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

I had a bit of a runny nose so I stayed home.

Re: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

I am cancelling the third race of the series originally scheduled for April 18th here at Inslot's Checkered Flag Raceway. I will work with Howie and Bob to get this race rescheduled at a later date. Everybody stay safe and stay healthy!

Re: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

Okay, My 962 is running well. I'll try to keep my hands off of it.

Re: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

Yea Mitch, that is my intent. I know I improved it after the Springwater race, so leave it to collect dust 'till it is called into action again!

Re: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

I am rescheduling the 962 race on June, 20, 2020.

The 2nd. race of the Columbia Gorge Championship will be at Rapid Raceway. Doors open at 11:00am. and racing to start at 1:30pm. $10.00 entry fee which will include Pizza and pop. Coffee and cookies as usual. Hope to see you all here.

I know the virus is not over, but I need to get this race on the books as summer ( if we don't get screwed out of one like we did last yr. ) may be too hot in the shop for racing.

Re: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

Thanks Howie, I will be there!

Re: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

Thanks to Howie for hosting today’s race, always a good time at Rapid Raceway.  My car was too heavy to be truly competitive, but I am reasonably happy it lasted the entire event.

Rico

You had a good run today Rico. Your car was working well and you were quite fast!

Re: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

Very fun and close racing Bob, thanks for hosting.

Re: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

That was an awesome race Bob! I really liked the new format racing the inside four lanes and then the outside four in the next round. That track is so much fun, even though the bank ate my car yet again!

Re: Columbia Gorge Championship race.

Much thanks to Bob and Howie for hosting and organizing the series.  I took some weight out of my car and lowered the body for yesterday’s race because I thought the extra weight was slowing me down after Howie’s race but I may need a gear ratio change after yesterday’s results. Thanks again for a fun series.
