Topic: Help needed with car identification.

Anyone know what these cars are? And more importantly.....would either be eligible for the 50 and over class? I will post more pictures.

Re: Help needed with car identification.

The red one appears to be an Eldon with different wheels/tires on the back. It is a Ferrari P3/P4, their 906 shell is very similar, the glass just differs a bit.

The other one is a Porsche 917 lexan body on what looks like an early Parma chassis.

The over 50 class is 1/24 scale, as it needs to have the 36D motor for that class.

Re: Help needed with car identification.

Thanks for the help! It is much appreciated.

Re: Help needed with car identification.

We really should amend that class to allow the smaller motors as well since the RussKit's and a number of others primarily used the smaller motors.  Not to mention all the other motors that were stock in the day like that padlock looking thing in Al's Cheetah that used to kick our tails regular.  Let the big dogs eat!

Re: Help needed with car identification.

The silver Porsche 917 is a 1/32 scale Riggen car.

Like Monte said I think we should make some rule amendments for the over 50 Class. We need divisions for 1/32 cars and other motor divisions in 1/24, or maybe stock and modified divisions. There are a lot of cool vintage cars out there in both 1/32 and 1/24! Of course you can't expect an Eldon 1/32 "home set" car to run with a Cox 1/32 La Cucaracha!

Re: Help needed with car identification.

26Ds?  With new tires my Asp can run lap after lap in the 6.3/6.4 range and feels like it is glued to the track. Out of fairness I may have to just leave it at home.
On the other hand I found another very clean "Classic" industries chassis with a Lotus 30 body that has never been painted, as in still clear. I hope it runs as well as my Porsche.
