I have the Gulf Porsche 962. Are we racing these stock? Mag, or magless?

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

Mitch,
The cars must be stock, with magnets(stock location).
Tires will be open.

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

Porsche only or other Gr. C cars?

They'll probably rust to pieces before the end of the race.

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

What I've got is Lancia's.   Ya'll have fun.

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

The original intent was to re-create the American IMSA race series, but the rules do state a group "C " car. Therefore the Lancia and the Mazda 787b will be legal. I hope this rule change helps. I will not change the car list again to add any more confusion. Thanks for your input.

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

Ok, now I've got choices where before I had none.  Thanks.

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

Thanks to Bob and wife for hosting yesterday.  Weather was great, the food was great and I didn't actually feel warm until the last few heats of the race.  All in all, a very pleasant day.

On the track, the stock Nissan with BOSA tires turned out to be a real rocket.  I intended to run my new Lancia.  A few practice laps showed that to be the wrong choice.  On the plus side, the Lancia still looks like new.  However the Nissan gripped like the devil with the only injury being a bent mirror.

I was worried about tire wear and even had extra sets of wheels with tires ready for a quick change.  Never needed them.  Clearance on the tires still looks good, ready for another race.  Pretty pleased with that.

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

Congrats on your win Monte! The Nissan was fast and you were driving like a pro!

Sorry I had to leave early Bob, but not before I had a chance to gobble down one of those delicious BBQ hot dogs!

Thanks for a great race day Bob & Terry!

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

Thank you Bob and Teri for terrific hot dog fest and some really good racing.  Congrats to Monte on the victory, the man was on fire while racing.  While marshaling, not so much, even with his own car.  I think we all had a few laughs and an enjoyable day.

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

WOW, that was a close race!

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

The way your car was running you would have been right there.  I had one heat with 39 laps and I remarked it was a run as good as Bill.  But only one.

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

You had a good lead on me from the first two rounds. I don't think I could have caught you!

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

I gave it all I had, perhaps I should have givin a little less in the corners.

Re: IMSA GT Challenge

Or...  more magnet!
