Topic: PASER Update

Checkered Flag Raceway will have it’s first race of this season this Saturday, October 11. For further dates check:

www.oscrsite.com.

This season we will have several changes from the past format. The first change will be a new starting time. We will open the track about 3:00 and start the first race about 4:00.

The next big change will be that we will only run two classes of cars each race night so that it will be easier to compete and you won’t have to have cars for lots of classes like we have had in the past. The classes will be hard body 1/24th or 1/25th scale NASCARs with either small wheels or big wheels. (check N.W.T.S.R. for big wheel rules) All NASCARs will run together but will be scored separate.

New this season will be Beau Frazier’s CanAm class of cars. (once again  check N.W.T.S.R. for the rules) Coupes like the Lola or Porsche up to 1972 will be allowed. Both kit cars and scratch built cars will run together but will be scored separate. All bodies in this class should be painted and detailed to resemble the full sized race car.

The race this Saturday won’t have a tech inspection since lots of these cars are new but next month we will have an inspection.

Hope to see ya’ll Saturday.
