I want to apologize to all in attendance at Bill's race this Thur. I had just adopted a new dog through Bills daughter and her foster care program. It was my idea to better socialize our dogs by letting them play as we got some racing in. Turns out it was a poor idea on my behalf. Lily and I felt it best to make another day of it. Hope you guys had a great time. Looked like a good turnout.
See you all next time, dog free of course..... Beau

Would love to lend a hand in the build. Sounds like the ideas I had running through my head for a design direction. Let me know how I can help......Beau

I found wheel barrow wheels new for about $35 each. 20" dia, 200 lb load rating each wheel. Similar to wheel chair wheels .My direction is going to be a plywood chassis with steel axles and components. 1" ground clearance and a body that mimics a 1969 STP Turbine Indy Car. I plan to build a bolsa wood model . Smaller scale of course. I'll post photos as things progress . Fun Fun!!!

I know what you mean, that track snot can be naste. No pun intended. I'm guessing the tire life is greatly increased with urethanes which would help with one of the biggest expenses. I'll be ordering a couple of sets...Beau

I also have a couple of vintage 1/24th cars that are in need of rear tires. I've been very curious about their performance vs foam rubber and a glued surface. I personally would love to see us (PASER) get away from glue completely. Can the urethanes be run on a track that has had glue used on it? I've seen these tires made up in bright colors. Can you get them in black? I'm excited to hear they work so well. I'll check out that EBAY site....Beau

Great job!!! Looks like a very fun course. I've ordered a couple of new cars I can't wait to try out....Beau

Bill, thanks so much. I'd love to be there. Is this going to be a track that uses glue or will it be for rubber and silicone tires only? I'd like to build a scratchbuilt car and want to be sure I set it up correctly. Thanks again for the invite....Beau

Bill, I knew you were building a new track, but this is incredible!!! Today was the first time I saw any photos and ,WOW! I'm going to restart my collection of 1/32nd scale cars in the hope of getting a chance to run on that beautiful layout. ABSOLUTLY "P1" job.....Beau

I forgot to mention the third body class in the CanAm rules. It will be Endurance Racers '64 to '72, closed cockpit only. If anyone locates additional sources of .020-.030 PETG bodies please let us know. The available bodies at True Scale Products in this catagory are listed as '60's style. There are only four or five choices at this time, but they are planning to add more over time. These are nice thick, high quality pieces. Some come with an interior. Rico has located the address for the bodies at Tom Andersen VSC(vintage slot cars) Thanks Rico.....Beau
