I see I hit an a instead of a u in ultimate. I do not know how to fix that headline, oh well.
I believe the track is supposed to be a copy of Le Mans.

For those of you who think you have seen it all in slot car tracks. Check out the track that is on the cover of one ( of thousands ) of my wife's catalogues. Go to www.northwesttruescaleracers.com. under "pit stop". I was going to order one but the shipping put it over budget!! It is in 1/32nd scale, just right for NASTE!!!

I meant to thank Rico for the use of his Batmobile for the race. It was a fun car to drive after you got used to the minimum braking situation. For some reason I drove Batmobile much better during the night time racing than during the day part!! I know I made up a lot of time at night!!!
I checked out the videos and pictures, good stuff!!

First race for the Can-Am cars on Nov. 19, 2011. We did not have a big turn out, but those who did had a lot of racing. We went through four times at four minute heats. The cars were just what we expected, fun and handled well. All of that out of recycled plastic bottles!! We adjourned at about 11:30pm. I'm e-mailing Bill some pictures so he can kindly put them in this page.
See ya.

Bill and Rico; I will post here soon the web page to go to get the bodies. This is the same brand as the GT-1 chassis but is somewhat smaller and is a better fit for these bodies which tend to be narrow. GT-1 is definately not dead, it is a very successful class and will be a big part of RR schedule. Can-Am is a class sponsored by Beau, questions concerning rules need to be addressed to him. Flexi chassis I believe would be legal, you must have a PETG body, again that is a question for Beau to answer. You can e-mail him at beaufrazier@hotmail.com. Or call him 503-473-6690
Beau's Can-Am class is the first non hard body class ever to be scheduled at RR. By the attention it is getting from a lot of racers, I am predicting it will go over very well.

Rules for Can-Am: Bodies: 1957 to 1972. 1/24th. PETG  ( recycled clear plastic bottles ) bodies only. Tom Anderson VSC and True Scale Products offer these bodies. These are true scale bodies. they are .020" to .030" thick.
Do not pancake cut these bodies, use existing cut lines, wheel wells are marked and should remain visible after cutting. Remember these are true scale bodies and should stay that way.
Chassis: Open chassis, build it, buy it, have it built. Angle winder, sidewinder, inline. A good one to buy is the
Scholer type "Tiger" from Professor Motor, they are very adjustable from one body to another. No part of the chassis can stick out from the body.
Interiors: True Scale Products, use the styrene interior trays with the hard resin driver's head available at Profesor Motor. Driver's tray must cover the entire view of the chassis.
Motor: At this point only Falcon 7 motors will be allowed. After racing for awhile this could change.
Gearing: Any pitch, ratio.
Bearings: Any bearing type.
Tech: .047" up front, .055" in back.
Axles: 1/8th. or 3/32nd.
Tires: Front, 7/8th. min. diameter, can be narrowed to wheel width and beveled and coated. The rear min. diameter is 15/16th" and can be narrowed as needed. All tires will be black and can not stick out past 1/16th." beyond body.
Wheels: The large Pro Track that we use in GT-1 is a good choice. H and R Racing has a good tire with a large rim also. Wheels must be in the center of the wheel well.
Wheel inserts are not required but it sure keeps the true scale look.
Guide flag must remain hidden behind body. No cutting of body for guide flag clearence.
Paint: Use a water based paint as lacquer based paint can make PETG plastic brittle over time.
Tamyia and Model Masters paint have a good choice of water based paint. Be sure to wash the body and lightly sand with 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper, avoid the windows. A final coat of PVA glue or acrylic clear over the painted surface helps keep everything in place during racing conditions.
Any questions on the rules need to be addressed by Beau Frazier.

Fellow racers; I guess it is about time to update the GT-1 page. Let me say that we have been having a very successful racing season with this class. We always get a good turn out. I hope with help to add a few current pictures to this site.
We have decided to add the Parma S16D motor to the class this season as the Falcon 7 did not last long.
If any of you have an interest in this class, please feel free to stop by and take a look. Our next scheduled GT-1 race is Apr. 23rd. Doors open at 5:00 pm. Racing starts at about 7 ish. I will with help post some pictures of the race on this site.
There are some really nice looking cars and Monte has one of the best, both in looks and handling. Do you want to sell that car Monte?

Fellow racers; the first GT-1 race went real well. We had 13 racers with a couple new racers.
Flying Bryan took top honors. There were a lot of bugs to work out with a lot of the cars. It was a fun race with no teching of the cars and everyone as far as I know and heard had a lot of fun and are looking forward to the next GT-1 race.

Gentlemen; I can hardly do the english lingo. let alone a foreign one. I am glad I have a chassis to copy as there is short screws and long screws. It just made the asembly a breeze.
Hope to see you all tonight, George, it is not too late to fly in if you hurry.
